To be able to create your course in FORGEBox platform you need a FORGEBox account. You can get this account by signing up here. Alternatively you can use your g+ account to create your account the FORGEBox system. NOTE. Upon creation of your account you will be able to see and perform FORGEBox exersices (learner role) but you will not be able to design one. You need to contact the administrator of the FORGEBox system to upgrade your account (lab designer role) if you wish to create your own lab courses.Please send an e-mail to tranoris (at) ece.upatras.gr or info (at) ict-forge.eu
When you login to the FORGEBox system you will be able to see courses that have already been created by other users. To create your own course, from the top menu select the link Courses > My Course Modules.In this webpage you will find all the required tools to create and manage (change, delete) your courses.
Three options available
In a course presentation part a lab course designer can put theoretical information about the course (text, pictures, videos etc.) but not any tools or software for conducting the exercise.
By selecting the New Course Presentation Part you will be redirected to a new webpage. In this webpage you will find the following form.

In this form you must complete all the requested fields (e.g. Title, Small Description, Language etc.). In the field Course Content you can put all the theoretical information about the course (text, videos, pictures etc.). You will find that the toolset above the Course Content field offers you a large set of capabilities (e.g. style your input, import links, edit html code, import/upload videos and pictures etc.).
Once you complete all the fields and content, you can click the button at the bottom of the page and Create the part. Your new Course Presentation Part can now be found in the (using the top menu) Courses > Course Presentation Parts page.
In a course interactive part a lab course designer can put the tools and software required to conduct the exercise.
By selecting the New Course Interactive Part you will be redirected to a new webpage where you will find a similar form like the above. However in this form, there are three additional fields that allow a lab designer insert and manage the tools (widgets and apps) required for the course. These fields are the Interactive Category, the Interactive Item and the URL (Figure 2). In the Course Content you can put information (text, pictures etc.) about the use of the course's tools.

Once you complete all the fields and content you can click the button at the bottom of the page and Create the part. Your new Course Interactive Part can now be found in the (using the top menu) Courses > Course Interactive Parts page.
Using the new Course Module option you can create and publish the actual Lab Course.
By selecting the New Course Module you will be redirected to a webpage where you can fill a form with the Title of the course, a Small Description etc. In the Course Content you can put general information about the course or you can leave it empty for now (Don't worry you can add a Course Presentation Part later and give information about your course). Once you fill all the required fields, click the button at the bottom and Create your new Course Module. If everything has been done properly, in the Courses > My Courses webpage you will be able to see your new Course Module.

As depicted in Figure 3, in a Course Module, the designer can add one or more Presentation or Interactive parts (Figure 4).
When you add all the Presentation and Interactive Parts you want you can click on the Save button to complete the process.
Congratulations! You have just created your new Course Module
